3 1/4 Quarts Apples, peeled and thinly sliced |
1 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon |
3 1/2 Cups Sugar |
3/4 Cup Water |
1 1/2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice |
2 Cups Flour |
3/4 Tsp. Salt |
1 Cup Butter |
12 Oz. Grated Cheddar or American Cheese |
Arrange thinly sliced apples in shallow greased baking pans. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixed with a little sugar so it will be smooth. Add water and lemon juice.
Combine remaining sugar. flour and salt; work into butter to form a crumbly mixture. Lightly stir in grated cheese. Spread mixture over the apples.
Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender and top is brown and crisp. Add a dollop of yogurt on warm crisp.
