1 Lb. Sausage (Breakfast or Italian)

16 Oz. Thawed Frozen Bread Dough

1 1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning

1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Tsp. Onion Powder

1 1/2 Cups Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese ( or use the Mexican cheese mixture)

Preheat oven to 350°. Line a cookie sheet tray with parchment paper.

Brown sausage over medium heat. On a lightly floured work surface roll the thawed bread dough into a 10′ X 14″ rectangle.

Mix the three seasonings together. Sprinkle 1/2 of the seasoning mix over the dough. Add the cooked sausage leaving 1″ border on the two short edges and one long edge. Leave a 2 ” border on the other long edge.

Sprinkle the cheese on top of the sausage. Then sprinkle the other half of the seasoning mix on top of the cheese. Fold the 1″ margins of dough over the filling. Roll the dough tightly like a jelly roll towards the 2″ margin. Pinch the seams together and place the roll on the parchment paper. Bake 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let rest 10-15 minutes. Then slice and serve.
